The calendar synchronization configuration is divided into two sections: copying events from this calendar and updating events on this calendar.
Copying Events from This Calendar
When the application retrieves event details from the calendar, they can be modified according to the settings in this section. Only then will they be forwarded to the other calendars connected to the given assistant.
If you disable this section, events from this calendar will never be copied to the other calendars within this assistant. This option is needed if we want to copy events only from other calendars to this specific calendar.
Updating Events on This Calendar
When the application receives an event from another calendar and is ready to create or update an event on this calendar, before doing so, it applies the configuration settings in this section. Thus, we can add, for example, a prefix to the event name to easily see that this event was copied from another calendar.
If you disable this section, events from other calendars connected to this assistant will never appear on this calendar. Such a calendar will operate in read-only mode—the application will only retrieve events from it and copy them to other calendars.
Settings Description
Event Name Template - you can enter any text that will replace the original event name. If you use the % character in the template, it will be replaced with the original event name. Example:
If the original event name is Meeting with the Boss, and the template is [Work] %, then the resulting event name will be [Work] Meeting with the Boss. This way, you can indicate where the event comes from, e.g., from a company calendar.
Event Description Template - analogous to the event name.
Event Location Template - analogous to the event name.
